No pasa nada – dije yo, iluso de mi. Ya había reparado telefonos móviles antes y este no podía ser muy diferente.
Efectivamente, en webs como cnn.cn o PDAparts hay piezas de repuesto a tutiplen. Le cojo el cristal (también llamado digitizer) y a correr.
Ese fue mi primer error…
Vamos a hacer una pausa para aclarar un par de conceptos:
La parte superior del iPhone (que es la que nos interesa, pues la inferior no la vamos ni a mirar fijamente, por si acaso), se compone de 3 partes (a groso modo):
- Digitizer (aka cristal): el cristal exterior (lo que se raya/rompe)
- Soporte: el soporte de plástico que aguanta al cristal, el botón y el sensor de proximidad.
- LCD: la pantalla en si.
¿Cual es el problema? Pues que el digitizer va unido al soporte de plástico ¡¡¡con pegamento!!!
Así que para cambiarlo, debes despegar el cristal del soporte, limpiar el soporte de pegamento y volver a pegar el cristal nuevo, todo ello con los cables de conexión de la pantalla, el botón y el sensor bailando por ahí… Un escándalo, vamos…
Y claro, el cántaro, de tanto ir a la fuente, se sacó un bonobus, y yo, de tanto toquetear, me cargue el LCD… No lloré porque soy un machote, que si no…
Moraleja: NUNCA intenteis cambiar solo el digitizer.
La solución es comprar el conjunto de digitizer + LCD. Asi ya viene todo junto (cristal, soporte, boton, sensor y LCD) y cambiarlo solo implica quitar los dos tornillos de la base del iPhone, desconectar los tres cables que unen el conjunto a la parte inferior y colocar la pieza nueva.
Es más caro, es cierto (hay digitizers por 12$ en eBay, y el conjunto sale por 220$), pero es infalible y apto para todos los públicos.
